Welcome to Sinology Studio
Growing up in 1990s Xinjiang, Northwest China, I felt passing of seasons in the biting and dry air, stored it in underground cellars, tasted it in warm stewed lamb and saw it in soft cotton flowers.
Over the years, I lived in different parts of the world, experiencing very different seasonal changes and local celebrations, from humid delta rains to sweeping Scottish gales.
Now, under the Mediterranean sun in Valencia, Spain, I use the ancient 24-solar-terms as gentle prompts to notice the shifting light, practice little rituals with my family, and stay grounded. It is a joyful way to connect to my roots and pass it down to my child.
Here, I share stories, recipes, and seasonal reflections that weave together traditions across continents and generations. I am glad you are here.
